Online Party & Competition Time!

I wanted to do something to celebrate the first year of the magazine, so this Saturday 18th July is the Finding Our Voices online birthday party! They’ll be silly games, art therapy colouring pages to print and colour in, music requests, discussions, and a few previews of what’s coming up in the bumper birthday issue of Finding Our Voices due out next month.

There will also be competitions running throughout this week and over the weekend to celebrate. The first competition starting today is for your chance to win a selection of SM products from the Selective Mutism Network. The prizes will be chosen at random but could include an awareness bear, a support necklace or an awareness car magnet! For your chance to win, all you need to do is email contact@findingourvoices.co.uk and let me know in one or two sentences who or what inspires you and why. When sending your answer in, please let me know if you are happy or not for it to appear in the magazine. The winner will be announced next week, good luck everyone!

The details of the other competitions, to win prizes including books by Tom E Neely and Kathryn Harper, will be announced later in the week so stay tuned!

To join in the online party, go to the Magazine Facebook group below (you’ll need to join the group if you haven’t already):

Then all you have to do is turn up from 7pm (UK time) on 18th July. Hope to see you there!

"I recommend you for your hard work in 'spreading the word' about SM. I am encouraged by the rise of interest in the condition over the 21 years of SMIRA's existence, which, I am sure, is due, in no small part, to the efforts of the organisation in raising the profile of this disorder. The more ways that people can learn about it, the better."
