Moving On

This week I’ve emailed the magazine to a couple of my local schools and I’m slowly showing it to more people I know too. It feels a bit strange because I’ve never really talked about selective mutism with my own family but it’s good to have a reason to start talking and being more open about it. I wish I’d done it a long time ago!

I’ve also added a links page to other SM related websites, blogs and forums that might be useful as well as some Facebook groups and pages so feel free to take a look and let me know if you have any you’d like added in.

It’s time to start thinking about the next issue now that’s going to be out around the end of November so please start sending in your articles! I’ve updated the I Want To Help page with bits we need but if you have anything you would like to see in the next issue or want to write something that isn’t on there please send it in. I’ve put the email address on the right (findingourvoices@outlook.com) or there’s a form you can fill in on the I Want To Help page.

Thank you all and have a great week!

"I recommend you for your hard work in 'spreading the word' about SM. I am encouraged by the rise of interest in the condition over the 21 years of SMIRA's existence, which, I am sure, is due, in no small part, to the efforts of the organisation in raising the profile of this disorder. The more ways that people can learn about it, the better."
