Art Therapy – What do you think?

Doing and creating can be very calming because it requires you to be fully involved, meaning that your brain is concentrating on being in the moment rather than thinking about all of your worries. The next issue of the magazine is going to have a small piece about art therapy; I know some of you have tried it and found that it really helps so what do you think? Have you used art as a form of therapy or is it something you enjoy doing? Please let me know! It would also be great if you’d like to share some of your art for the magazine, whether it’s doodles, drawings and paintings or sculptures, photography and other forms of crafts. Please send them in:  contact@findingourvoices.co.uk

For now, here’s my little doodle I drew and coloured in earlier.

"I recommend you for your hard work in 'spreading the word' about SM. I am encouraged by the rise of interest in the condition over the 21 years of SMIRA's existence, which, I am sure, is due, in no small part, to the efforts of the organisation in raising the profile of this disorder. The more ways that people can learn about it, the better."
